This CPPE Effective Change resource is available as a downloadable guide on the CPPE website.
The Introduction to Change Management e-learning module enables you to prepare a project designed to make changes in health services. A case study is used throughout to show some of the key issues involved in preparing for and then making change. Each section begins with some information about the case followed by questions to help you reflect on the issues. There is a further quiz at the end to find out what you have learnt. This is a free e-learning module from BMJ learning. The NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement recently ran a series of webinars about innovation within the NHS. Innovation is a key enabler for healthcare leaders and staff, as outlined in the Operating Framework for 2010/11. “This NHS operating framework….  demands radical approaches and innovation if we are to realise the transformation necessary to improve the quality of services to patients at the same time as reducing costs.”

Hot topics within the webinar series included: Creating a culture for innovation; Using the experience based design approach to improve patient and staff experience; Using idea channels and generating High Impact Actions and Learning from the Design Industry. You can listen to recordings of the webinars and download Powerpoint Presentations of these webinars.

  • Individual development / appraisal
  • To identify learning needs and as evidence for the KSF
  • Team development
  • Role design and re-design
